Hello prospective counselors and CIT's (counselors in training)!  We are ready for another year of Kidz Camp and are looking forward to working with you!  Please complete the application under "Attendee Questions," as well as the medical information for our nurse.  CIT's you will need to have your parents fill out the consents and medication certificate.  If you are on any prescription medications, you will leave them with the nurse and see her daily to receive them.  You will need the physician form completed by your doctor for any prescriptions you may have.

Counselors must be at least 18 years old and CITs must be at least 15 years old.

Counselors and CIT's get the privilege of being with the kids throughout camp.  Counselors will oversee kids at all times, with the exception of breaks and staff devotions.

CIT's perform many duties during camp including, but not limited to leading games or small groups, assisting counselors, serving food at meals, clean up, playing on the playground and monitoring behavior, to being assigned to a dorm to help counselors with the day to day activities.  CIT's are expected to participate in daily activities and to fulfill duties assigned by the directors.  They will have a curfew of midnight and must retire to their dorms to rest for the next day's adventures.

All volunteers, even CITs, will need to have all three required clearances filed in the district office, as well as the Naz Safe training, prior to the start of camp.  The clearances and training are listed below:

1.  PA Child Abuse Clearance - free for volunteers
2.  PA State Police Record Check - free for volunteers
3.  FBI Fingerprinting - Only if you have lived out of state in the last 5 years.  There is a fee for this one.  If you have lived in PA the last five years, you fill out the affidavit form instead of getting fingerprinted.
4.  Naz Safe Ministry Safe training - print certificate and email a copy to the District Office office@pghnaz.org.

*Please, please do not wait until the last minute (the week prior to camp) to get your clearances.  Some of them take some time to get back!  They must be filed with the District Office the week prior to the start of camp.  Do them now!

As part of the application, CITs will need to have their pastor write a letter of recommendation for volunteering at KC '26.  The letter may be emailed directly to torigilpin38@gmail.com or mailed directly to Monongahela Church of the Nazarene, "Attention Tori" 206 10th Street Monongahela, PA 15063

If you are selected to be one of our volunteers, you will be notified by April 15.  We may be limited on the number of CITs we have this year, so first ones to complete all the required paperwork will be considered first for CIT positions.

*Counselors and all CIT's will complete the medical and consent forms for camp.  Our nurse needs to have this on hand in the event that one of you would need to go to the ER.   You will find these forms under the "forms" tab.  :)
