Peru Work & Witness Trip - 2026

Iquitos, Peru is our destination for our 2026 Work and Witness Trip.  We will be working on completing a dining room.  This dining room allows the local church to have a safe space for the different activities they carry out.  The child development center operates in the facilities of the district of Peru Loreto. They currently have 3 child development centers in the city and they need a large place to be able to meet and develop comprehensive activities with children.

Some aspects of the trip include:

• Working on a Children's Dining Room Central Church of Iquitos
  • This will include concrete floor
  • Putting in doors, windows and electricity
  • Painting

·         Other aspects of the trip that will be finalized and may change as planning occurs

• One evening the Team will cross the Amazon and show the Jesus Film
• Potential of a two or three day medical clinic if we have Doctors and/or Nurses sign up
• VBS three afternoons

Where: Central Church of Iquitos, Peru

Team Members: Committed, flexible workers – both skilled and helpers.

Trip Dates: February 25, - March 12, 2026

Cost: $2950

Cost Covers: airfare, W&W insurance, housing and meals, Excursion of the Amazon River.

Extra Cost: shopping, meals on travel days, and any other incidentals.

Excursions will include: We are working on the details.  Information will be posted as soon as it is available.

NOTE: The W&W national office in Kansas City has gone to a database for all trips and the previous application process is no longer used.  There will be forms for you to complete and upload after our trip has been loaded in the database.  If you have trouble I can assist.  Also if you have never been on a trip with me, I may have an additional form that I will need you to complete in order to understand your skills.

Registration Deadline: October 25, 2025

Deposit  in the amount of $300 & Registration on Planning Center will secure your spot.  If using Planning Center to secure your deposit the amount is $308.28.  I have set up planning center to accept the deposit for payment by credit card.

Maximum number of participants is 20 (If we have more than 20 sign up there will be a waiting list for cancelations)

Deadline to Register for the Trip:  October 25, 2025

Amount due by October 25, 2025: $1600

Payments:  Can be made anytime with the total amount of the trip being paid in full by December 31, 2025

NOTE - If you need to pay by credit card there are fee assessed to the amount and it will increase the cost of your trip.

Necessary Documents:  USA passport (current until November 2026)

Recommended/Required Immunizations:
                 ~Tetanus
                 ~Yellow Fever - not required for the trip, just recommended.  Check with your Doctor on whether he recommends this vaccine.

NOTE: Reference the Yellow Fever immunization, if you have had this before you don't need a new one as these are good for life.

NOTE: Due to space requirements the trip is limited to 20 individuals. Registering on Planning Center and receiving a deposit will be the deciding factor on the first 20 individuals that will secure a spot for this trip.  If we exceed the 20 limit and you are interested in being placed on the waiting list please contact Dana Young.

Project Funds: The cost of the Project Funds that must be sent to the Peru (three months prior) for the trip is $10,000. These costs are not included in the cost of the trip and is strictly by volunteer giving.

I pray that God will speak to you on your involvement in this trip. There are three options of involvement, Option 1, you become a member of the Team; Option 2 you support WTG by sending in a donation of any amount; Option 3 you pray for the Team Members and those we will serve. So take time to pray for God’s leading as you respond to his will for how you will serve.
